Reader along for the ride by Ronnie GibsonBrian Wizard, a Vietnam veteran, decided to write about his experiences in the war where he flew few choppers while blasting the enemy. Hence his book, Permission to Kill, is a lot of rides up and down South East Asia in his beloved Thunderhawks and later in his Pollution craft. Stick in there with him, if you like being told how to take her up 2000, jam the butt into the rifle, blam at Vincent Charlies (the VC) at 4 o'clock, and bring her in to land. Unfortunately, Mr. Wizard takes his reader up and down in great detail on every other page, making for a tedious read - unless you're interested in flying. Wizard now lives on a yacht north of Port Douglas and spends much of his time writing. Permission to Kill was published by the author. The first edition, published in 1982, comprised 960 handmade and autographed copies. |
